Hotel Complex "Montfleury", Cannes

This hotel and touristic center was built in two stages within a semi tropical park located on the first heights of the city of Cannes. The site, its accessibility and the splendid view which it has of the bay dictated the spatial and architectural facilities on the upper slope, and the outdoor complex (tennis, swimming pool and skating rink) on the lower slope among tropical trees.

The hotel is built on a triangular grid which allows varied views on the sea and the surrounding hills. This triangular grid is also used in the gardens which link the hotel to the sports facilities. These terraces are in fact step gardens, open air restaurants, swimming pools and leisure areas. The spatial relationships among these terraces create contrasted perspectives, spectacular landscapes punctuated by rock outcropping and very large trees.
