Renovation of "Les Tourelles" Swimming-Pool

The tourelles swimming-pool (Stade Nautique Georges Vellerey - Paris 20e) built for the 1924 Olympic Games in a german architectural style, was never actually achieved, although it has been intensively frequented since the beginning, in spite of the lack of roofand heating device.

The renovation programme includes a new Olympic pool with adaptable geometry, a removable roofing of 35 m. span, changing-rooms for 1.000 people, a medical center and one shop. Furthermore, the architect provided for rows of tiers that can sit more than 2.000 spectators and one set of tiers for the Press.
